This is a short list of our most frequently asked questions.
For more information about MathPunch, please contact us.
Firstly, we do not hold mass classes. All our classes have the maximum of 3 students.
It's rare to find 5 or more students who are equal in their academic level and pace of learning.
Three students would allow some discussion among them.At the same time each will get sufficient attention from the tutor that is not overwhelmed by this small number of students.
Secondly, we employ the use of up-to-date and research-proven techniques to teach.
We use a combination of Educational Psychology and Teaching Pedagogies to deliver our lessons.
We are the first in Singapore to use the Lev Vygotsky’s Scaffolding Technique, coupled with the Spiral Curriculum pedagogy to carry out our lessons.
Due to our unique approach to teaching, we possess our own worksheets and materials to complement the techniques.
We are very specialized in E math and A math for secondry school students.
We do not believe in one-stop-shop in education that teaches every subject under one roof.
Our tutors are NIE trained MOE teachers.
Our founder is the pioneer in successfully executing both the scaffolding technique and the spiral curriculum in a classroom setting.
All our tutors are also trained and certified by our founder that they are fit to execute the techniques.
We actually discourage solo attention which may give the student unwanted stress.
One-to-one lesson does not have obvious and proven advantage over small group tuition.
One-to-one lesson is still available on case-by-case basis but it's not recommended.
Nothing. We do not collect hefty deposits, term fees, registration fees or material fees. You only pay for the fee for the number of classes.
For example, you pay for 4 classes if there are 4 scheduled in a month.
Any unattended class will be replaced with make-up class scheduled at a time convenient to you and the tutor.
We provide our very own created worksheets to students. You will not be charged material fees.
We do not collect any other fees except the fee for classes.
The tuition fee is due every last week of every month.
For example, the fee is payable on the last Saturday of every month if the class is scheduled on Saturday weekly.
Each lesson lasts for 2 hours.
Any period lesser than 2 full hours is too short.
Any continuous teaching for more than 2 hours will be too long for the attention span of an average teenager.
Upon arrival, students need some time to adjust to their mood, to recall what was taught by the school teachers, and to update our tutors on latest happenings.
In addition, each lesson is filled with hands-on practice of the different types of questions, and adequate teaching interactions between the students and tutors.
Yes. MathPunch will operate at any time and on any day to meet students' needs.
Please inform us at least 2 days in advance.

We'd be grateful if we are informed 1 month in advance of the termination date.
Please note we do not collect termination fee.
